Deer little thing

I am doing a screen printing class later this month at the awesome Red Brick gallery, and I've been playing around with ideas for my first project.

After lots of sketching, I've decided to go with a deer head design I came up with for a brooch last year:

I'm also taking a little inspiration from this gorgeous print from Urban Road:

I'll be doing the class with my long time friend Michelle from Bok Bok B'Gerk, and I'm really looking forward to it!
Don't ask me why but I want to make tea towels. I love a nice decorative tea towel! I have a really cool tram destination sign tea towel which was supposed to be for eyes only, then one day I came home from work and it had been used! After being washed it just isn't the same.

Tell me - do people buy tea towels just for decoration or am I the only nutter?

    I love a tea towel. In fact just last night I sat searching through ETSY to see what I could find to steal my heart. I actually have a couple hidden away that I want to frame.

    You are not the only nutter. I have a cupboard full of them! Some have been waiting for my perfect kitchen for 20 years! It's not coming any time soon, so I have decided it is time to start using them. I am sad about a couple of really cool vintage ones that will never be the same.
