The Crafty Squirrel

On Friday I went to The Crafty Squirrel for the first time and met the lovely Morgan. I had been planning on visiting for a few weeks since she opened, but as she is only open Fridays and Saturdays it has been a little tricky! So finally I got to go, and I was so excited!

Let me tell you, this shop is just the cutest thing going around! If you're into vintage stuff, you'll love it. I wanted to buy everything, but kept control and just brought a few things.
Feast your eyes!

I'm loving all the new little shops that are popping up in and around Ballarat. We have such a crafty community here with such lovely friendly people! I feel very lucky to be a part of it all.
Hope you're all having a lovely Sunday!

Arty fart

Today I learnt a new skill. I went along to The Red Brick Gallery and Laura taught me and a few others how to screen print!

What an ace thing to know how to do! I'm so pumped about all the things I can do now, the ideas are flowing steadily.

Michelle

It was so fun meeting new people, but also hanging out with Michelle. We went to high school together, but have noticed of late how many things we do that are similar. Not you're everyday things either, really. For example, I am as we speak getting a very cool Ziggy Stardust softie made for me by Wicked Child designs. I am a huge David Bowie fan you see.  Then today Michelle told me about a wooden toy she made of Ziggy Stardust! Who does that??! Weird I tell you. And we have the same tiles in our kitchen, not so weird.

Anyway, a big thanks to Laura, I had a blast!

Pi

Why yes, I did knit a jumper for a teacup chihuahua today, how on earth did you guess?

hehe
Pi is my brother's little dog, and it was his 2nd birthday today, so of course I knitted him a jumper. He usually wears a sock so this is much more stylish.

Vintage goodness

Yesterday afternoon was full of sunshine and good vibes, so when I finished work I decided a trip to Ruth's was in order. (Ruth's is the best junk/antique shop ever!) Look what I nabbed!

Be jealous peoples! I got the scales for just $30! And the Salter scales insert will make a nice artwork on my kitchen wall.

Linking up with Maxabella Loves via BabyMac for I am grateful Saturday. I am grateful for awesome secondhand junk shops that don't rip you off! Thankyou Ruth!

Spud fun

Gotta love the look on you're kids faces when you tell them you have a surprise for them, only to hand them a potato each.

I'm not really a mean Mum. It's pretty funny though. After stringing them along for a few minutes I handed them their real surprise:

Oh yeah.

One of those days

I think today is gonna be one of those days. My brain's not quite right this morning. I know this because I just poured myself 2 glasses of juice for breakfast. No, I didn't pour 1, forget then pour myself another. I got out 2 glasses, and poured juice in both, put the juice away, then looked at the drinks and couldn't figure out what I'd done! I'm the only one here!

On another note, I chopped myself a fringe yesterday.

please ignore my grotty mirror!
I'm still getting used to it, hated it at first but it's growing on me.

I'm off to work to make others look pretty now!

What's on for your day peeps?

Best shop ever!

This shop in Sweden is so awesome I can't even stand it! I just want to live there!

It's in a big glorious house, at first I thought it was someone's house but once I translated the blog and read it I saw it was a shop set up as a house. It's truly magnificent, I don't think it could be any better really.

Look at that giant vintage ruler in the roof beams!

I'm in love...
